about manor cottage

Acommodation

There are three characterful bedrooms available; however as this is our family home we generally just let out two bedrooms at any one time.

Guests have their own large sitting room. Wi-Fi ? – Yes, surely. Television and games.

There are two en-suite bedrooms.

Both rooms have their own coffee/tea making facilities; a fridge, hair drier and television.

There’s also a “twin” room that can accommodate three people. This has its own private bathroom with a large cast iron claw foot bath/shower.

We also have a lovely, original Gypsy Caravan

Blue Room

Double Bedroom – ensuite bathroom with shower.
A good size double room with original fireplace.  Good quality bed and mattress.  Crisp 400 thread cotton sheets.
We provide a little stool so that you can look over the adjacent roof and across the Home Farm to the Castle!

Flowery Room

Double Bedroom – ensuite bathroom with bath/shower
Pretty room with crisp 400 thread cotton bed linen and a quality mattress. Lovely fireplace.

Twin Room

Separate private bathroom with original claw feet cast iron bath and shower. An optional third bed means that three people can be accommodated in comfort.

Beautiful and original Gypsy Caravan.

Come and have a romantic evening or two  - how about a well-chilled bottle of fizz around the Fire pit ?
Next morning, either do your own thing, or maybe purchase a couple of our own eggs and cook on the camp stove outdoors or even arrange to have a full breakfast indoors in our lovely dining room. The caravan is of a design native to this region and dates from the end of the 19th Century.

There’s a very comfortable cosy double  bed, and candles and lanterns to provide lighting. Be aware that the caravan was built quite a while ago and before planes or double-glazing came on the scene. You have your own private composting loo nearby.

Prices

Doubles From £90 ; Family Room from £110 ; Single occupancy from £70; Gypsy caravan from £60

We are unable to take payment cards, but there’s a cashpoint in the village.

Only thinking of staying for One night...?! Think again. People use us as a really good base for London as well as places like Oxford and Hampton Court, even Stonehenge . And just Windsor itself offers so much :)
For example, have you thought about river trips (by paddle steamer or canoe or the amphibious Duck!) or the wonderful walks or cycling in the Great Park?
